KEF Music Gallery

Grand Opening of First KEF Music Gallery in HK
Fusing Art and Design into the Ultimate Audio Experience
to Bring You the Music You’ve Never Experienced

The brand-new KEF Music Gallery has opened in Central, with “the fusion of music and art” as its design concept, it breaks outside the traditional box of music listening. In addition to various KEF loudspeakers, home theatre systems, and personal audio products displayed, a number of masterpieces by renowned artists from around the world are also on display at the showroom, bringing visitors a one-of-a-kind music experience with innovation and style to experience music like they’ve never experienced it before.

A lot of wooden elements were incorporated into the overall design, with stylish marble used as embellishment. Each listening space is meticulously decorated to make visitors feel like they are in a private clubhouse, giving them the opportunity to forget the world for a while and enjoy the sublime acoustics of KEF’s speaker systems. In conceptualising the design of its Music Gallery, KEF placed special emphasis on “the fusion of music and art”. One of the highlights of the showroom is an animated artwork titled “Dark Waves” in The Collector’s Lounge, created by the digital artist collaborative teamLab. The interactions between hundreds of thousands of water particles were calculated to generate a body of water which simulates raging waves in a 3D space. Visitors are treated to a dual sensory experience in The Collector’s Lounge, where they can enjoy extraordinary Hi-Fi music through KEF speakers while viewing the 3D visual effects of “Dark Waves”.

Moreover, the music gallery is decorated with the works of many contemporary artists to enrich the artistic aspect of the showroom, so that visitors can appreciate art and enjoy music at the same time. Local ink painter Nancy Chu Woo, renowned Japanese visual artist Yayoi Kusama, British contemporary installation artist Julian Opie, and Australian photographer Luke Shadbolt, who finds particular inspiration in the ocean, are among those whose pieces are exhibited.

Committed to making music a part of life, various books related to film, music, art, and design are showcased in new concept store. KEF Music Gallery has also joined hands with HMV to offer a collection of Chinese, English, and Japanese vinyl records.
