Reproducing lower frequencies with confident accuracy is critical for achieving a satisfyingly full-bodied sound in public spaces, and with the dedicated long-throw 160mm (6.5in.) bass driver from KEF’s renowned iQ range, the Ci160ST delivers gloriously extended, articulate and distortion-free bass.
The tonal match is perfect with the rest of the new Ci Commercial Series, which are designed specifically for foreground music and music/paging applications in retail, commercial and hospitality environments. With back can, 70V/100V multi-tap transformers for distributed line systems and UL2043 safety approval for use in plenum spaces and UL1480-5 for fire protection signalling systems, it meets every requirement for interior use. The bezels and grilles can of course be finished to blend unobtrusively with the décor –and with KEF’s ingeniously simple fixing system, the units are exceptionally easy for the contractor to install.
The Ci160ST is supplied with a C-ring mounting bracket and tile hanger for use in suspended ceilings. Like all KEF loudspeakers, this formidably competent subwoofer is built to KEF’s traditional high standards for reliable long term use.
