At our event with Chi Chung, the musicologist and audiophile took us on a journey back to the vibrant summers of the '90s, sharing his personal collection and the legendary gatherings at Woodstock and Glastonbury.
Having experienced the electrifying atmosphere of Woodstock '94 and the iconic performances at Glastonbury '95 firsthand, Chi Chung shared his cherished mementos and sonic memories. This festival wasn’t just about music; it reflected youth culture and served as a statement of peace and unity during a turbulent era."
With a display of rare memorabilia collected throughout his festival experiences, the audience was transported to these legendary grounds, enjoying time-stamped anthems that defined generations, all brought to life through KEF’s high-fidelity speakers.

KEF x Reiji Asakura x Haruo Ushio : Audio Masters Meet Acoustic Artistry
High-fidelity audio can transform sound into a journey through time, where each note tells its own unique story. This is exactly the adventure that Mr. Asakura and Mr. Ushio, two of Japan’s most esteemed audio critics, took our audience on. These legends brought their personal collection of sonic treasures from Japan to Hong Kong for an unforgettable night of auditory delight.
Over the course of 90 minutes, guests enjoyed an expertly curated selection of 11 musical masterpieces and 2 Blu-ray discs, each showcasing the pinnacle of audiophile recording and mastering techniques. Selections like Yukio Hashi's "Yoake no Scat" and Mie Chitose's "Etranger" highlighted the power of unedited, single-take recordings — a hallmark of UA Records' philosophy, led by Mr. Asakura and Mr. Ushio. From the warm, analogue embrace of vinyl on Reference 5 Meta, to the pristine detail of SACD on R11 Meta, the event was a true testament to how high-fidelity sound can transport listeners.
Adding to the allure was the unveiling of a rare lacquer master recording of "Caravan" from Mie Chitose's "Etranger," played on our flagship model, MUON. These elusive lacquer recordings, rarely heard by the public and ageing with each listen, captivated the audience with their superior low-end response and rich, dense sound. The experience was nothing short of a sonic odyssey and truly became the highlight of the night.
