Selections like Yukio Hashi's "Yoake no Scat" and Mie Chitose's "Etranger" highlighted the power of unedited, single-take recordings — a hallmark of UA Records' philosophy, led by Mr. Asakura and Mr. Ushio. From the warm, analogue embrace of vinyl on Reference 5 Meta, to the pristine detail of SACD on R11 Meta, the event was a true testament to how high-fidelity sound can transport listeners.
Adding to the allure was the unveiling of a rare lacquer master recording of "Caravan" from Mie Chitose's "Etranger," played on our flagship model, MUON. These elusive lacquer recordings, rarely heard by the public and ageing with each listen, captivated the audience with their superior low-end response and rich, dense sound.
